Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26 of July in India, to observe India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999.
The day marks the victory of Indian soldiers. This day is celebrated all over India and in the national capital of New Delhi, where the Prime Minister of India pays homage to the soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti at the India Gate every year.
Students at Binary foundation celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate the contribution of Indian Armed Forces.
Our students recited poems and sang beautiful songs to explain the significance of the occasion. Also drawing competition on the theme was organised to foster the spirit of patriotism. A craft activity ,where children made soldiers was conducted to enhance the spirit of nationalism. Students enjoyed the activities and remembered the sacrifices of Indian soldiers.
Indian soldiers showed tremendous courage and fought till the end to recapture the Kargil outposts from the Pakistanis. The students enacted the scene and paid tribute to the Indian soldiers.
It was indeed a proud and historical moment for all of us as we paid tribute to our heroes and remembered their sacrifices.
